On this warm Thanksgiving Day, volunteers from the Charity Volunteer Team of the School of Environmental and Geographical Sciences Red Apple Charity Volunteer Group at Shanghai Normal University took some children on a meaningful Thanksgiving journey. The volunteers vividly told the story of Thanksgiving Day’s origin and let the children understand the profound meaning behind this festival. Gratitude is not only gratitude to others, but also the awe and the cherishing of nature and of life.
在这个充满温情的感恩节，上海师范大学红苹果慈善义工队环境与地理科学学院慈善义工分队的志愿者们为孩子们带来了一场意义非凡的感恩之旅。志愿者们生动讲述了感恩节的起源，让孩子们了解到这个节日背后所蕴含的深厚意义。感恩，不仅是对他人的感激，更是对大自然、对生活的敬畏与珍惜。
Under the guidance of the volunteers, everyone had a spirited discussion of "How to be grateful to nature". The children expressed their cherishing of the blue sky, white clouds, and green trees in their childish voices, and expressed their determination to protect the environment.
在志愿者的引导下，大家围绕“如何感恩大自然”展开了热烈的讨论，孩子们用稚嫩的声音表达着对蓝天白云、绿树成荫的珍惜，以及对保护环境的决心。
The children also made Thanksgiving cards by hand, turning their gratitude into words and sending them to the people they wanted to thank the most.
孩子们还亲手制作感恩节卡片，将心中的感激之情化作文字，送给最想感谢的人。
Tracing back to the past and inheriting its spirit
追溯往昔，传承精神
Teacher Ying Manwen, a volunteer from Fengpu Wuju, opened a time scroll of China's aviation industry for the children, from the shocking explosion of the first atomic bomb to the great feat of the Chang'E project bringing back precious lunar soil. The children listened attentively, their eyes flashing with a desire for knowledge and respect for their ancestors. The fearless spirit of exploration of their ancestors, like seeds of hope, was sown in the young hearts of the children, inspiring them to study hard for the rise of China.
奉浦五居的志愿者应曼雯老师为孩子们开启了中国航空事业的时光画卷，从第一颗原子弹的震撼爆发，到嫦娥工程带回珍贵月球土壤的伟大壮举。孩子们专注聆听，眼中闪烁着对知识的渴望和对先辈的敬仰，先辈们无畏的探索精神，如同一颗颗希望的种子，播撒在孩子们幼小的心田，激励着他们为中华之崛起而努力读书。
Care for health starts with teeth呵护健康，从齿开始
Volunteers from the Shanghai Youdan Huli Dental Hospital were also closely involved. They used their professional knowledge to popularize the importance of oral health care for the children. They vividly explained how to prevent cavities, the correct way to brush, and the necessity of regular dental checkups.
上海尤旦沪利口腔医院的志愿者们也在行动，他们用专业知识为孩子们普及口腔保健的重要性。生动地讲解预防龋齿的方法、正确的刷牙方式以及定期检查牙齿的必要性。
The volunteers also led the children to hand-paint bags of their own, each one unique.
志愿者们还带领孩子们手绘包包，孩子们发挥创意，手绘出独一无二的包包。
At the end of the event, the Shanghai Youdan Huli Dental Hospital volunteers also presented teeth cleaning kits to each child, expressing the hope that the children would improve their oral health awareness and have healthy teeth.
活动最后上海尤旦沪利口腔医院还贴心的为每一个孩子准备了牙齿清洁礼物，希望孩子们能提升口腔健康意识，拥有一口健康的牙齿。

All the volunteers not only imparted knowledge, but also conveyed the power of gratitude. On this special day, the children learned to be grateful for the gifts of nature, for the ancestors who have silently contributed to the development of the country, and for everyone around them who cares about them.
