Qingpu Center Activity Center------Interactive Theater!

On the morning of March 26th, 2016, the Shanghai Education Commission supported a campus drama program along with Asst. Professor Xu Jun and six volunteers. Asst. Professor Xu and the volunteers traveled to the You Dao Qingpu center to run a drama program for 24 migrant families and their children. The City Board of Education Campus Theatre Applications leader Professor Zhang Shengquan also came to watch the performance.
The first performance was the "Hunter Strong Fruit” written by Cao Chunhui and Wu Qi. The story tells the tale of a group of hunters. A tigress killed a young hunter’s father. The young hunter dressed as a white tiger and eventually killed the tigress, saved his village, and took the revenge for his father’s death.
The second performance was the "Golden Lake, Silver Lake" written by wang Kunqi and Shan Siqi. The story tells of Zhong Lang and Lan Niang. In order to stop the dragon and eagle from destroying fire and water the villagers needed. They mediated at the gold lake and silver lake and then defeated the dragon and eagle by transformation. From then on they lived a wonderful life.
The people felt connected to the stories, especially since the actors acted with such grace and feeling. The children really enjoyed the stories and had a lot of fun watching the stories.
We would like to thank the Shanghai campus drama education and Application Center "Experimental Reading" project team and volunteers for their brilliant performances. We would also like to thank Asst. Professor Xu Jun for bringing the gifts to the children!
